To nominate someone for the Springfield Sports Hall of Fame, send resume-type information (newspaper clips for documentation are helpful) to:

Once someone is nominated, they stay in nomination until they are selected.

To be considered for inclusion in the Springfield Sports Hall of Fame at the discretion of the Selection Committee, candidates can no longer be active or have reached the age of 55 and must meet at least one of the following requirements:
1) Have been a native of Springfield
2) Have played high school sports in Springfield
3) Have lived a large portion of their life in Springfield and brought credit or recognition to the city.

Individuals must have gained recognition as an active participant in sports, either as a player, coach or official. Others will be considered in the Friend of Sport category.
